THEY VIOLATED THE GRAVES AND ROBBED THE DEAD Moscow, April 24. - In the small town of Bisk, a very curious case took place in court. This is an organized gang of corpse snatchers led by the guardian of the town cemetery. The alarm was raised by a woman who had just lost her little girl. She had been buried with her favorite doll, and what was the mother's surprise when she met a little girl in the street carrying her child's doll. She was questioned and she admitted that the doll came from the thrift store. After several searches, it was established that there was a gang of body snatchers who were digging them up the very evening of the burial. The jewelry and clothes of the dead were sold to the thrift store and the graves covered. The court sentenced the defendants to various prison terms. |
