DIED LAUGHING LONDON, April 26. (From our private correspondent.) - A singular case is reported from Everton, near Liverpool. A young girl, aged 17, Miss Dorothy More, who was watching a film show of a funny subject. was overcome by a fit of laughter so violent that she lost consciousness in the arms of a friend. Transported to a waiting room, she died there a few moments later. VICTIM OF A BELL ANNECY, April 26. While Mr. Louis Gaillard was ringing the Angelus at the church of Nancy-sur-Cluses, the rope got caught in a slot in the bell tower door. The bell being thrown at full speed, the door was removed and thrown at the ringer's little girl, aged 3, who was there and who had a crushed leg. The unfortunate child had to undergo amputation. |
