An Englishman and his wife are going to go by boat to Australia

LONDON, April 19. A British couple, Mr. W. Thomas, an engineer from Saint-Just (Cornwall) and his wife are going to leave the coast of England for Australia on board a 7 m boat. 50 in length and with a tonnage of 4 and a half tons. It's a twelve-month journey aboard a walnut shell.

Mr. Thomas' boat, which is called the Honolulu, is a former lifeboat which belonged to a French ship torpedoed during the war and in which 24 crewmen were adrift for two days before being rescued. .

The Honolulu today has a deck, a cabin and a 17 hp engine.
The travelers propose, after crossing the Channel, then the Atlantic from Brest to Bordeaux, to borrow. then the French canals to Marseille. They will then sail across the Mediterranean via Corsica, Sardinia, the coasts of Tunisia and Tripolitania to Alexandria and Port Said. Then, via the Suez Canal, they will reach Aden, Karachi and the Indian Ocean, following the coast as much as possible. It’s a crossing of 25,000 kilometers.
