Goose and duckScientific journals welcome, not without some wise reservation, this news, well worthy of the question mark. The mayor of the commune of Sévignac (Basses-Pyrénées), Mr. Hartamerot, allegedly obtained eggs from a living duck, with a gander, which gave birth to a hybrid breed: neither goslings nor ducklings. The little ones would have the characteristics of the ascendants: duck beak and goose feathers. These duck geese may just be a duck. Bird watchers (or ornithologists) must wait. |
