OLYMPIC GAMES What we see around the Stade de Colombes The first Olympic tournament, that of rugby, is underway; as soon as it is finished, football will take its place. This means that, every Sunday, sports regulars, those curious about Olympic shows, will have at their disposal, Stade de Colombes, a more or less eclectic event. But, to go to Colombes, you have to pay five francs for a bus ticket (and at that price, you have the possibility of staining your suits with dust from the road), or even take a tram which, for 2 fr. 50, takes you from Porte Champerret to Colombes in just under an hour! If you use the railway, compulsory price, round trip. five francs! When you arrive in Colombes, don't say you're satisfied. Buses, railways and trams drop you off fifteen minutes from the Stadium. You have to go there on foot in the dust, test the robustness of your shoes on “reloading” paths and endure the inevitable offers from thousands of peddlers who want to sell you the Olympic postcard, blocking your way under the pretext of selling you. the Olympic charm, or a pair of binoculars, or a roussin to rest the posterior part of your individual. Don't you dare grab a beer in one of the refreshments near the Stadium if you're thirsty. You will pay 1 fr. 50 or 2 fr. If you have a car to store in a garage, do not offer a 1 franc tip to the bellman who will drive you... he will tell you that he does not ask for it. “begging”! Pay generously, open your wallet, go there without fear, it is obvious and odious theft! The Olympic Games are a source of profits for mercantis... a plague for spectators who like peace and quiet, and we believe it is our duty to draw the attention of the Olympic Committee to the various actions of the transport companies which have increased the planned and agreed prices for no reason, a large number of individuals trafficking around the Stadium, if he does not want to disgust the Parisian population, if he does not want to cause the bankruptcy of the Games!
