In Spanish Morocco The retreat continues without stopping

MADRID, September 15. An official communiqué from Morocco announces the evacuation of the positions of Cobadarsa, Cheruda, Tisgarin, Izurkan, Seidun and Lomaroja. The retreat was carried out without incident.,

In the Kauen sector, a column responsible for supplying Kalaa entered the position after a brilliant bayonet assault.

In the Larache sector, an enemy attack cost the Spaniards one killed and nine wounded.
General Fernandez Garcia, who was in command of the Larache zone, was placed on standby and replaced by General Riquelme.

The Sinews of War

LONDON, September 15. It has often been said that the Riffians were only able to sustain the fight against the Spaniards thanks to English money.
The Evening Standard, which has made an inquiry into this matter, states: "An English Company, interested in the mines of the Riff, has advanced Abd El Krim a certain sum in exchange for certain rights to the mineral wealth of the country. There is no doubt that the money thus advanced was used by the leader of the Riffains to carry on the struggle.
" The English Company does not deny that the sum advanced for the concessions in question amounts to about £300,000 sterling.
" The British Government has no official knowledge of this commercial transaction.
