A new denial by Lord Parmoor and Mr. Murray to Mr. Stresemann
Berlin, September 17 (dep. Petit Par.) Questioned again by the Geneva correspondent of the Parliamentary Socialist Service, Lord Parmoor maintained categorically that on August 10, at the lunch he offered in his villa to Messrs. Marx, Stresemann and Luther, Stahmer and Gilbert Murray, a discussion took place on the question of Germany's admission to the League of Nations. He did not speak about it directly with Mr. Stresemann, since the latter did not know English well enough, but through Ambassador Stahmer who acted as interpreter. Lord Parmoor added that since the conversation had been of a private nature and Mr. Stresemann had been his guest, he categorically refused to continue the discussion on this ground any longer.
This is what Mr. Gilbert Murray, also the British delegate in Geneva, says in his turn. We talked for half an hour on this problem and I am very surprised that Mr. Stresemann does not remember it. Lord Parmoor also had a long conversation in the garden with the German ambassador Stahmer. Lord Parmoor and I were already designated as delegates for Geneva and the German delegates could not be unaware of this.
