However, the ushers had consulted their little notebook and the two deputies from Guadeloupe, Messrs. Gratien Candace and Jean François:
— A third deputy among us, said Mr. Candace, astonished... We don't know! He must be a "joker".
Also, while the pseudo-deputy Edgard Maurice was engaging in conversation with Mr. Ossola, a bailiff came to ask him to leave. Which he did, moreover, without protesting.
He is, they say, an unbalanced person.
