The Fatal Bike

It's a nice title for a film, but it's also the name that suits perfectly the bicycle which was the cause, last week, of the appearance before the London court of a common burglar.

Indeed, the first owner of this cursed bicycle having been killed in the war, his mount became the property of his brother, who, a carpenter, fell from a scaffolding and killed himself. A newspaper carrier who bought it from his parents was, while riding the formidable bicycle, hit by a truck and killed instantly.

Finally, the burglar named above stole it from a bookseller who had bought it from the newspaper carrier's mother. He was then arrested by the police as he fled with the fatal bike and, as if that was not enough, the policeman who was driving the machine and the trickster to the station was knocked down and run over by a car.
