THE OLYMPIC POLO TOURNAMENT
ONE OF THE 13 GOALS SCORED BY THE AMERICANS
The Olympic polo tournament began yesterday at the Central County Club in front of a large audience. The revenue, in fact, amounted to nearly 50,000 francs. The American team beat the French team by 13 goals to 1. In the first two minutes of the game, the Americans, setting off at full speed on their ponies, scored two goals. At the end of the match, Mr. Jules Macaire, who with Mr. Charles de Polignac was the best French teammate, managed to save the honor and score a goal.
