A campaign is now being undertaken by English dealers in photographic articles and by contractors for amateur photographic work against the ridiculously short deadlines which competition has gradually imposed in the delivery of such work; it is rightly observed that, while it is possible to develop the plates and make the prints in 24 hours, it is not possible, in the event of an operational error, to start over the failed prints, which means that the customer has to be supplied with prints which, if a more reasonable time were available, it would be easy to replace by a better print. |
