The earth shook in the South-West and the South

Bordeaux, July 10. — This morning, around 6 a.m. 40 a slight seismic shock was felt in Bordeaux. The phenomenon only lasted about fifteen seconds and caused no damage.

IN BAYONNE-BIARRITZ Bayonne, July 10. — An earthquake lasting 12 seconds was felt this morning at 6 a.m. 30, in Bayonne, Biarritz and throughout the Basque country. Furniture moved around in homes and objects placed on shelves were thrown to the ground. No personal accidents have been reported.

In PAU Pau, July 10. — Two seismic tremors were felt in Pau, at a very slight interval. At 8:35 this morning, the first took place which lasted four seconds and was quite strong, to the point that the clocks stopped. A second shock was much less noticeable. At the same time as the earth shook, lightning roared in the distance. An accident, fortunately not serious, occurred at the time of the second, Mr. Abadie, bursar at the Pau high school, passed over a board of a platform. Mr. Abadie, surprised, lost his balance, fell and broke his collarbone.

IN MONTAUBAN Montauban, July 10. — A seismic tremor was recorded this morning at. 6 a.m. 45. The phenomenon lasted two seconds.

IN TOULOUSE . Toulouse, July 10. — An earthquake lasting approximately 10 seconds was felt this morning at 6 a.m. 40, in the region of Montauban, Agen and Agen. Furniture was moved and windows were broken.

IN AUCH Auch, July 10. — A seismic shock occurred around 6 a.m. 40, in Auch and the region. It lasted several seconds. The furniture was shaken strongly.

IN PERPIGNAN Perpignan, July 10. — This morning, at 6 a.m. 34, we noted a seismic shock which was only felt in Perpignan by very rare people and only in the upper floors, but which was quite violent in the Agly valley. Information taken at the Observatory, the shock, of very short duration, would have in fact been recorded by the seismograph which marked the direction N-0. of the earthquake. No accidents have been reported.
