Yesterday, on the road to Quarante-Sous, between the marker which indicates that Saint-Germain is still 26 kilometers from the one which mentions that only one kilometer remains to be crossed to reach the small homeland of Claude Debussy — that is that is to say over 25 kilometers exactly if our calculations are correct — we passed, going up towards Deauville, towards Dieppe, towards Rouen or towards less distant countryside, one hundred and seventy-three cars.

By dividing 25,000 meters by 173, we get 144.50. So there was, on average, yesterday, between 5 p.m. and 5 p.m. 30, on the road to Quarante-Sous, a car by 144 meters.

Between Saint-Germain and Porte Maillot, we had to give up counting. Fortunately, the road to Quarante-Sous is paved.
