The civil marriage of Airman Lieutenant Nungesser was celebrated yesterday afternoon at the town hall of the eighth arrondissement. Charles Nungesser's witnesses were Colonels Féquant and de Goys, the first representing the Minister of War, the second, the Under-Secretary of State for Aeronautics. The bride's witnesses were Mr. Williams Waters, her brother-in-law, and Me de Moro-Giafferi, deputy for Corsica. (Photo. Excelsior.) ALASKA RECEIVED THE VISIT OF PRESIDENT HARDING In Ketchikan: A Paved Street — A Group Of Indian Children
We announced yesterday that the American transport Henderson, having on board President Harding returning from Alaska, had rammed the destroyer Zeilen. These two snapshots were taken from the deck of the Henderson during this presidential trip, moments before disembarking at Ketchikan. One of them represents a group of Indian children who have warmly acclaimed Mr. Harding ; on the other one sees a triumphal arch in the street of the flagged market and where festivities were given. THE ROME PRIZES FOR ARCHITECTURE
The jury of the School of Fine Arts delivered its judgment yesterday morning. The first Prix de Rome was awarded to Mr. J.-B.
