ABOUT A PARISIAN Beware the Experts Before the war, German diplomacy methodically used three little words that gave goosebumps : our vital interests, "We cannot allow this because of our vital interests..." We will not allow this because of "our vital interests..." This convenient phrase authorized all undertakings . It was the all-purpose pretext. Today another word keeps coming back to the pen of English diplomats.. He doesn't tell me anything worthwhile. It's the word “expert”… “We will appeal to the experts assessments”. Germany's payment capabilities will be determined by "a commission of experts...". We are waiting for new English communications. Distrust if you read the word “expert” there. Let's say it again : diplomatic language today calls storytellers “experts”. It cannot be otherwise, Experts, there are no more. The great English and American financiers can no longer be called experts. They allowed their nationals to engage in speculation on the mark. So, of two things one, or the famous international experts of which we are threat will be. men of yeur and then, why do we call them experts? It can only be to hide ulterior motives. Or they will be real experts and then let's tremble, my friends, let's tremble. If the English and American experts want to save Europe, it is dead!
