Those who are not idle
While waiting for the wheel of Fortune to turn again, the overthrown English ministers do not disdain business.
We already knew that Sir Eric Geddes, ex-minister of transport, was interested in rubber; that Sir F. G. Kellaway, ex-postmaster general, “worked” in the T.S.F.; that M., Mac Kenna and Sir Robert Horne, who were Chancellors of the Exchequer, had launched into high finance. We now learn that Sir Laming Worthington-Evans, Postmaster General in the Baldwin cabinet, has just taken over the management of a major financial institution.
Not everyone is unemployed in England.
