A KNITTED TIE
This tie is made on four steel needles and is worked like a tube, a single seam on each side at the ends is enough to close the tie. We will take either the execution of the beaded colon Iustré M. F. 4. or of artificial silk, which is a silk sufficiently turned to be easily worked; we will also find many special colors for ties. Our model is black sole, with mauve, purple and white stripes. Of course each of our readers will be able to vary the tones at will,
Cast on 20 to 25 stitches on the four needles, which should give approximately 0.08. Next as the knitter. tightens the work more or less, she will add stitches or remove them by casting them to obtain the desired width. Always work in the right side to a height of 0.38 then take finer needles to make the middle part, this will be 0.30 in length then take the original needles and finish the work with 0.32 in height with these last. Close the stitches,
KATE
