The tenants are agitated

The Federation of Tenants of the Seine is holding several meetings this evening in various districts of Paris, notably at Sociétés Savantes, rue Danton, and at La Bellevilloise, rue Boyer. The main purpose of these meetings is to protest against evictions of tenants. On the other hand, the tenants of a building in Choisy-le-Roi have decided to go on strike, that is to say, to suspend the payment of rent until their owner has taken into consideration the demands presented to him. The tenants are demanding in particular the unification of rent prices for each tenant of the house, the restoration of the premises, after inspection by the health commission and only a 35% increase on the pre-war rent prices.
