NEWS THE GULF-STREAM
It was said that the Gulf Stream did not exist: after investigation, oceanographers claim that this is an error.

When it froze to stone,
And we slipped on the ice,
The scholars suggested
That the Guef-Stream did not exist,
It was a crazy legend
That this story of current.
A schoolmaster's story,
An old grandmother's tale!

But since everyone is sweating,
By mopping up. forehead, neck,
Scientists, instead of telling us
That they don't understand anything at all,
Claim that a false investigation
Had misled them,
And that the Gult-Stream – they admit it –
Would exist today

You see the little importance
What should be added below
To things that circumstances
Modify, depending on the climate,
Let it be, I declare,
Weather, rain or wind,
What a vague ignorant peasant,
Wouldn't you tell the scientists?
