A MAGNIFICENT LIBERALITY for the Department of Seine-et-Oise

Mrs. Tuck, née Stell, Officer of the Legion of Honor, and her husband, Mr. Edward Tuck, Commander of the Legion of Honor, founded the "Stell" Hospital in Rueil, which they donated to the Department of Seine-et-Oise in 1916.
Through successive gifts, Mr. and Mrs. Tuck increased the donation from 70,000 to 120,000, and finally to 170,000 francs, enabling the hospital to operate.
Constantly interested in their fine work, Mr. and Mrs. Tuck provided the institution with the latest equipment, enabling the most recent scientific discoveries to be applied to medical and surgical treatments. Taking on the heavy burdens resulting from all these improvements, which make it a model establishment, Mr. and Mrs. Tuck wanted to be assured that, in the future, the department of Seine-et-Oise could continue their work without having to make any special sacrifices.
It is with this in mind that they have resolved to make a new donation of 84,000 francs in French annuities to the department.
Mr. Duplan, a lawyer in Paris, has just informed Mr. Bonnefoy-Sibour of this magnificent generosity in favor of the department's poor.
This is a new gesture of admirable philanthropy on the part of Mr. and Mrs. Tuck, adding to so many others, and for which we cannot thank them warmly enough.
