Talking...
A Line... of Conduct!La Presse 1925 06 21 art 01 grève éclair des bus 1

In the event of a conflict between a public service and its staff, it was the rule that only the innocent public, caught between the anvil of management and the hammer of demands, had to suffer the effects of a state of affairs in which they had nothing to do.
This was a habit, and they weren't even asked for their opinion.
Alas! Good traditions are being lost! The "go-slow" strike declared by certain employees of the S.T.C.R.P. has just provided proof of this.
You know what that consisted of: using every incident as an excuse to delay or even stop the heavy vehicle so that it took two hours to complete a journey that would take thirty-five minutes.
As usual, the "paying pig" hadn't been consulted; aren't they made to endure anything?
Well! No. They rebelled, this brave public; He found that his "comrades" treated him too casually and that the "reasons" the management had with the conductor were not for him to miss his train or arrive late to his business.
And he demonstrated his dissatisfaction with such... precision that the conductors immediately adopted a... conduct more in keeping with the interests of the passengers. The go-slow strike was thus ended.
This demonstrates that the public is tired of being treated like negligible quantities and that it does not want to be pushed around any longer; take note, agitators.
