For domestic staff. Among all the laws protecting workers, there are some that are not yet applicable to domestic staff attached to the person. Thus, in particular, from the point of view of hygiene, the requirements relating to housing are not respected, as well as with regard to the concierges' lodges,
Also, Mr. Emile Massard, who, on several occasions, has already intervened in favor of this category of workers, will present a new proposal by which he asks the administration to strictly enforce the laws on the housing of servants, sleeping employees and concierges; to Parliament to grant domestic staff the right to be part of the jury of assizes and to remove article 32 of the law of 1884 which does not allow them to be eligible for the Municipal Council; to the Minister of Labor to grant concierges and domestics the same protection as other workers.
Finally, Mr. Massard requests that foreigners cannot be building caretakers.
