At a time when attempts to penetrate Africa seemed set to fail, only the 10 hp Rolland-Pilain achieved the feat of crossing Africa in its entirety, linking the Atlantic to the Red Sea, through regions previously considered inaccessible and completing, in 30 hours, stages previously completed in 7 days by special cars.
What is remarkable next to the tenacity of the explorers is the accomplishment of such a raid without organized supplies, aboard standard cars, strictly standard, with ordinary wheels and tires and having undergone no preparation.
This highlights the robustness of the Rolland-Pilain construction and adds a new jewel to the already well-stocked crown of Rolland-Pilain.

Raids in Africa: Raid of 14,700 kilometers, (the longest to date), linking the Atlantic to the Red Sea through sandy deserts, swamps, lava mountains, etc., was carried out by the MISSION TRANIN-DUVERNE (November 1924-February 1925):
Track records: Record of the 24 Hours on track all tourist categories, 2,197 kilometers. (Montihéry, 30 Sept.-15 Oct. 1924.) 
24-hour endurance competition on the road: Rudge Cup, Le Mans Circuit (14-15 June 3924; 27-28 May 1923). “Petit Parisien” competition: Touring competition across France, 3,786 km. (20 May-15 June 1923). Etc., etc.
All these events, in which ROLLAND-PILAIN triumphed with strictly standard standard touring cars, consecrate the legendary qualities of the ROLLAND-PILAIN:
