The Prefect of the Pyrénées-Orientales Victim of an Attack

Perpignan, February 25. - Mr. Carles, Prefect of the Pyrénées-Orientales, was the victim, this afternoon, around 5:30, in the street, of an attack on the part of a madman named Pelras, who struck him in the stomach with two blows of a sword-shaped cane.
The Prefect's clothes were punctured and torn. The injuries he received were not, however, serious.
