DISARMAMENT COMMISSION AT GENEVA UNABLE TO REACH AGREEMENT ON PRIVATE ARMS MANUFACTURE Geneva, February 18 (Dept. Petit Paris.) In the meantime, studies will be continued and governments asked to make suggestions. The representatives of France and Great Britain approved the resolution. The Italian representative refused to do so, requesting that the question be adjourned altogether. AMERICAN GOVERNMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN ARMS TRAFFIC CONFERENCE Washington, February 18 (d. P. Parisien.) It is announced from an official source that the government has notified the League of Nations of its decision to participate in the conference on the arms traffic next May. The note stipulates, however, that the program of this conference should not include the question of the manufacture of arms, the current legislation of the United States not permitting the prohibition or limitation of this manufacture. |
